I squeeze the toothpaste in the middle of the tube.

I enforce parking restrictions as a job. The members of the public I come into contact with whilst doing this reinforce my belief that at heart people are evil, not good.

I now tell people off for having untidy gardens, fine people for littering, and try to make a council estate a better place to live.

I believe that because people are evil, people cannot be good enough for God, and cannot be good enough to get into paradise. Humans (including me) deserve punishment, and we deserve more than the tickets I hand out. I also believe God has taken the punishment that humans deserve, and will accept that for anyone who trusts him, and accepts him as their king.

I'm trusting in that punishment already carried out for me.
